Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the fats and garlic: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Cook the chicken: Add the cooked chicken, salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the chicken is heated through and evenly coated with the spices and garlic butter mixture.
- Create creamy cheese sauce: Reduce heat to low and stir in the softened cream cheese until it melts and forms a creamy sauce coating the chicken.
- Add shredded cheeses: Add the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses to the skillet and stir until fully melted and combined with the chicken mixture.
- Assemble the wraps: Remove the skillet from heat. Spoon the cheesy garlic chicken mixture evenly onto each flour tortilla. Roll each tortilla tightly into a wrap.
- Optional toasting: For extra texture and flavor, toast the wraps in a clean skillet over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes per side until golden brown and lightly crisp.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve the wraps warm.
Notes
- Rotisserie chicken works well as a shortcut for cooked chicken breast.
- Enhance flavor by adding sautéed spinach or roasted red peppers to the filling.
- Wraps can be prepared ahead of time and reheated gently before serving.
