Instructions
- Prepare the Bruschetta Mixture: Dice the Roma tomatoes and combine them in a bowl with chopped basil, minced garlic, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt. Stir well to mix all ingredients. Allow this mixture to marinate for 10 to 15 minutes to enhance the flavors.
- Make the Cheese Mixture: In a food processor, blend together the crumbled feta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
- Spread the Cheese Layer: Evenly spread the smooth cheese mixture onto a serving plate, creating a base layer for the dip.
- Add the Bruschetta Topping: Spoon the marinated bruschetta mixture evenly over the cheese layer, spreading it gently to cover the surface.
- Garnish the Dip: Sprinkle additional chopped basil leaves, red pepper flakes for a touch of heat, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the top for added flavor and visual appeal.
- Serve: Present the creamy bruschetta dip immediately with crackers, pita chips, or toasted bread for dipping.
Notes
- Use ripe Roma tomatoes for the best flavor and texture in the bruschetta mixture.
- Adjust the amount of balsamic vinegar to your liking for a sweeter or tangier profile.
- For a spicier version, increase the quantity of red pepper flakes in the garnish.
- This dip can be prepared ahead and refrigerated, but add the bruschetta topping just before serving to keep it fresh.
- Serve with a variety of dipping options such as crostini, pita chips, or fresh vegetable sticks for variety.
