Ingredients
Scale
Beef Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Cheese and Tortilla
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Garlic Butter
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Garnish
- Sliced pickles, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
- Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 7–8 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Season the Beef: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the cooked beef. Mix well and remove from heat. Allow the beef to cool slightly to avoid melting the tortillas when assembling.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted butter and minced garlic thoroughly. Set this mixture aside for brushing on the rollups.
- Assemble the Rollups: Lay the tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spread the cooled beef mixture evenly over each tortilla. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the beef.
- Roll and Bake: Roll each tortilla tightly from one side, tucking in the edges to enclose the filling. Place them seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each rollup generously with the garlic butter mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, until the rollups are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Let the rollups cool slightly before serving. Optionally, slice them into pinwheels and garnish with sliced pickles for a classic cheeseburger flavor. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Use whole wheat tortillas for added fiber and nutrition.
- Adding diced onions or pickles inside the rollups can enhance the cheeseburger flavor.
- Brush with additional garlic butter after baking for extra flavor.
- These rollups can be made ahead and reheated in the oven to retain crispiness.
