Description

These Keto Garlic Rolls are a delicious low-carb alternative to traditional bread rolls, perfect for those following a ketogenic diet. Made with mozzarella, cream cheese, and almond flour, they are soft, cheesy, and packed with garlic flavor. Ready in just 20 minutes, these rolls make a great side for any meal or a tasty snack on their own.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese Blend

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup + 2 Tbsp almond flour
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Other Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt Cheese: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine shredded mozzarella and softened cream cheese. Microwave on high until melted, stirring well until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Mix Dough: Add the room temperature eggs to the cheese mixture and mix well. Stir in all the dry ingredients: almond flour, baking powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, until a dough forms.
  4. Shape Rolls: Use a large cookie scoop to portion the dough into evenly sized balls. Place them spaced evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with the crushed garlic. Brush this garlic butter generously over the tops of each roll, then sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
  6. Bake Rolls: Place the tray in the oven and bake the rolls for 14 to 16 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Finish and Serve: Once baked, brush the rolls with any remaining garlic butter while still warm, to enhance the garlic flavor and keep them moist. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened to help with melting and mixing smoothly.
  • Using room temperature eggs helps the dough combine better without cooling the cheese mixture.
  • To get evenly sized rolls, use a cookie scoop for consistency in cooking time and appearance.
  • For extra garlic flavor, you can add more minced garlic to the butter or sprinkle some extra garlic powder over the rolls before baking.
  • These rolls are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container and warmed before serving.
