Description

Million Dollar Chicken Roll Ups are a delicious and creamy baked dish featuring tender chicken mixed with cheeses and spices, all wrapped in flaky crescent rolls and smothered in a creamy chicken soup sauce. Perfect for an easy family dinner or a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 1¾ cups cooked chopped chicken
  • â…“ cup cottage cheese
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp cream cheese, room temperature
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Sauce

  • 1 (10.5-oz) can unsalted cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup milk

Rolls

  • 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls (8-count)
  • 1 (4-oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls (4-count)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350ºF and lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chopped chicken, cottage cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well. You can season with salt and pepper to taste if desired.
  3. Assemble roll ups: Separate the crescent rolls into 12 triangles. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture on the large end of each triangle.
  4. Roll the crescents: Roll each crescent starting from the large end toward the pointed end to enclose the filling, then place each roll in the prepared baking dish with the seam side down.
  5. Initial bake: Bake the rolls in the oven for 10 minutes to start cooking and set the rolls.
  6. Prepare sauce and pour: While baking, mix the cream of chicken soup with the milk until smooth. Remove the baking dish from the oven and pour the soup mixture evenly over the rolls.
  7. Final bake: Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the rolls are golden brown.

Notes

  • You can add salt and pepper to the filling according to taste.
  • Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Using unsalted cream of chicken soup helps control sodium levels.
  • This dish can be served with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven.
